Vegan and Gluten-Free Seasonal Recipes for Summer
Summer is a time of lazy, hot days with lots of al fresco dining. The last place anyone wants to be in the summertime is slaving over a hot stove for hours in the kitchen!
Don't worry, with these recipes up your sleeve, you'll be ready for any occasion! All these summer recipes are quick and easy to prepare and, of course, all delicious, healthy, vegan and gluten-free!

What's in Season in Summer?
Through June and the very start of July, we have the wonderful English strawberry season. Think Wimbledon and strawberries and cream! These are my favourite strawberries of all. They are so sweet and juicy. Really they are a totally different ballgame to other strawberries you get flown in throughout the rest of the year so I try to avoid those and just gorge on the English ones when they're around.
Then of course we get all the wonderful summer fruit like delicious sweet cherries, blackcurrants, redcurrants, berries (raspberries, tayberries, blueberries, blackberries, gooseberries, loganberries - so many berries!) then moving on to plums, peaches and nectarines.
As for vegetables, the summer is a glorious time for veggies! We have courgettes (zucchinis), sweetcorn, peas, all kinds of beans (green beans, broad beans, runner beans), salad vegetables, potatoes, onions, cauliflower, cabbages and of course the all sorts of amazing juice tomatoes!
